With its sun-soaked beaches, vibrant nightlife and Michelin-starred restaurants, Monaco is deservedly regarded as one of the most heavenly places in the world to be.
However, even perfection can be improved, and that’s just what will be happening this weekend when the Principality will be graced with the presence of some of the finest chocolatiers from around the world at the second edition of the Salon du Chocolat.
Dieters look away now, as the Espace Fontvielle gets set to host a three-day chocolate extravaganza from 9 to 11 October 2015, filled with cocoa-based creations beyond your wildest dreams.
Last year the Principality welcomed around 16,000 chocoholics over the course of the three-day event, and this year looks set to be even bigger, in what is the largest global event celebrating chocolate and cocoa.
The show will feature live chocolate carving, catwalk shows where the outfits are good enough to eat and workshops provided by some of the Riviera’s finest cooks, pastry chefs and chocolatiers.
Children have their very own cocoa-inspired universe in the form of Chocoland! Kids aged between 4 and 10 years old can conjure up their very own chocolate creations (booking required), while there will be free hourly animations and tastings.
‘Cook and Shoot’ will be inviting visitors to take part in a culinary photo shoot competition, while chocolate expert Fabrice Zuppo will be putting on a mouth-watering exhibition with a Great Gatsby-inspired theme.
So leave your calorie-counting apps at home and get ready to indulge like never before at this delectable annual event.
