Every season is special in Monaco, but the ambience created by a late, sun-kissed summer’s evening is truly exceptional. Furthermore, from an insider’s perspective, CityOut can guarantee that there is little better way to spend such evenings than in the company of the Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte Carlo in the stunning surroundings of le Palais Princier.
The Grimaldi Princes have always been well known for their patronage of the arts and Prince Albert is no exception. His father, Prince Rainier III, started the tradition back in 1959 and the first four concerts were conducted by legendary French composer, Paul Paray with works by Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms and Strauss.
The 2015 season looks to be equally as exciting with a truly world class line up of conductors and musicians:
Sunday 19th July – Valery Gergiev
Thursday 23rd July – James Judd & Ophelie Gaillard
Sunday 26th July – G. Gelmetti & B. Belkan
Thursday 30th July – Pedro Halffter & Annick Massis
Sunday 2nd August – Emmanuel Krivine & Boris Giltburg
Thursday 6th August – Tomas Netopil & Boris Berezovsky
All concerts begin at 9:30PM and there is a smart dress code; jacket and tie is expected.
Tickets prices are either €20, €30, €40, €65 or €100
